Optimising Your Health
Optimising Your Health

Nutritional therapy is a personalised approach to health that uses food, nutrients, and lifestyle changes to support the body’s natural processes and restore balance. Rooted in the latest nutritional science, it recognises that everyone is unique — what works for one person may not work for another. Nutritional therapy looks beyond symptoms to address the underlying causes of imbalance, aiming to improve digestion, energy, mood, and overall wellbeing. It can be beneficial for those managing chronic health issues or simply wanting to optimise their health through sustainable, nourishing choices.
How NLP Supports My Approach
At Jane Althaus Nutrition, I combine nutritional therapy with Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to help clients make lasting, positive changes. While nutrition focuses on nourishing the body, NLP helps address the mindset and habits that influence the choices we make every day.
Using gentle, practical NLP techniques, I support clients in overcoming emotional eating, reducing stress around food, and building confidence in their ability to maintain healthy routines. This integrated approach not only improves physical wellbeing but also encourages a more balanced, empowered relationship with food — helping each person create meaningful, sustainable change.
I help clients move beyond symptom management to uncover and address the root causes of their health concerns. My holistic, evidence-based approach combines nutritional therapy with mindset and lifestyle support to optimise health, resilience and long-term wellbeing. I bring the structure, clarity and problem-solving skills from my corporate experience into personalised nutrition and lifestyle plans, supporting clients to make sustainable changes that transform their health.

As a Nutrigenomics Practitioner, I use advanced genetic testing from Lifecode GX alongside detailed nutritional and lifestyle assessment to help uncover how your unique genetic blueprint may influence your health, wellbeing and nutritional needs.
Nutrigenomics explores the relationship between your genes, nutrition and lifestyle. While our genes do not determine our destiny, they can provide valuable insight into how your body processes nutrients, responds to stress, detoxifies, manages inflammation, balances hormones and supports energy production.
Using your personalised genetic profile, I create practical, evidence-informed recommendations tailored specifically to you — helping you make targeted choices that support long-term health and vitality.
Genetic insights may help us better understand factors contributing to:
We begin with a comprehensive consultation exploring your health history, symptoms, nutrition, lifestyle, family history and health goals.
The Lifecode GX test uses a simple, non-invasive cheek swab completed at home. Your sample is analysed for clinically relevant genetic variations linked to nutrition, metabolism and wellbeing.
Once your results are available, I provide a detailed interpretation of your genetic profile in clear, practical language. Rather than focusing on individual genes in isolation, I assess patterns and how they relate to your current health picture.
You will receive a personalised programme which may include:
Many health recommendations are based on generalised advice. Nutrigenomics allows for a more personalised and targeted approach, helping identify why certain dietary or lifestyle strategies may work well for one person but not another.Genetic testing can offer valuable insight into your body’s unique needs, enabling a more proactive and preventative approach to health.
Nutrigenomic testing is not designed to diagnose disease or replace medical care. It is used as part of a wider functional and nutritional assessment to support informed health and lifestyle decisions.
If you would like to explore how personalised nutrition and genetic insights could support your health, I would be delighted to help. Please get in touch to arrange an initial consultation or to learn more about the Lifecode GX testing process.
I provide face to face consultations at Honey & Herb, West Street, Midhurst, West Sussex. I also hold client consultations online, enabling me to fit in with your location and lifestyle.
Prior to your initial consultation, I will ask you to complete a Client Case History Form and a 3-day Food Diary.
The initial consultation is a 90 minute session. I will take a detailed case history, including your current health concerns, family and medical history. We will discuss symptoms in every system of the body, lifestyle, physical activity as well as in-depth dietary analysis.
I offer a free 20 minute discovery call to discuss your health concerns and goals. We can explore how personalised nutrition and lifestyle recommendations could help choosing the most appropriate programme to support your body's ability to heal and function at its best.
